Hello from Arizona, for our final blog post.
It is crazy to think back to day one and remember that we have been travelling together for the last four weeks. Time sure does fly by when you are having fun! Since the last blog post, our trip family visited Las Vegas, Bryce, Utah and Flagstaff, Arizona and finally, Scottsdale!
The trip members loved their Las Vegas experience. We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Luxor hotel, but we were all amazed by the beauty and decor of every hotel along the Vegas Strip. The water show at the Bellagio, the architecture of Caesar’s Palace and the intricate details of the Venetian Hotel ceiling added to the experience. The whole trip family felt the exhilarating highs of the Stratosphere and the New York, New York roller coaster, as well as the relaxing strolls and delicious lunch in the Forum Shops.
The fun continued with our time in Utah, where we had the pleasure of visiting both Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park – beautiful views and wonderful experiences. We spent the afternoon at our campsite running relay activities, poster design and song making. We ended the night off with some s’mores!
On our way to Flagstaff, we stopped at the sand dunes where we had the chance to run through and enjoy the area. What an awesome place to visit! The Grand Canyon was even more exciting. We did a quick hike through the canyon, and took some photos of the spectacular view. How lucky we are to get to travel to such marvellous places! We finished our time in Flagstaff with Aladdin, Spider-Man and a bag of popcorn at the movies. We then continued on and bumped our way through Sedona in our Pink Jeeps, before making our way to Scottsdale, our final location.
As our trip comes to an end, it is safe to say that we had an amazing time. From the smiles, to the many laughs, we have grown together as a family. The trip members truly had so much determination and excitement, and that is what has allowed our journey together to be so successful.
From the dorm rooms, to the tent takedowns, to the bottom of Bryce Canyon and the top of the Stratosphere, we have done and seen it all. What an incredible opportunity to have the chance to travel the world with newfound friends. As we picked up our postcards and souvenirs along the way, we opened our minds and hearts to the beauty of our world and the importance of friendship.
The memories made and the moments created will last a lifetime. When we look back and cherish these times, we will be left with big smiles. As we get ready to fly home, we don’t say goodbye, but see you soon, as we know these friendships will be everlasting.
Thank you for following along on our extravagant journey… if only we could have it continue for a little bit longer!
