What is WCC Cares?

Partial Scholarship

Our WCC Cares Scholarship Committee offers partial scholarship opportunities on select programs to a small number of teens with a financial need. There are specific criteria that need to be met and a menu of program options to choose from for these.

Full Scholarship

Each year, we award one full scholarship in memoriam of our outstanding WCC trailblazer, Jeremy Farrell (1979 – 2023), who passed too soon. Jeremy was a larger than life presence with a beautiful soul. His smile lit up a room and his positive demeanor affected everyone who came into contact with him. He excelled at everything he did, be it working with children, as legal counsel for Jersey City and most recently as a husband and father. His intelligence, humility, compassion, empathy, sense of humor, and devotion to others are some of his many incredible traits that made him exceptionally special. He will be sorely missed by all those that knew him and those of us at Westcoast Connection are truly blessed to have had him in our world for almost 20 years. We miss you Jeremy!

While we offer direct scholarships through our WCC Cares Scholarship fund, we are proud to partner with Wildflower, an organization that helps kids and their families in Greater Boston rediscover life after loss by connecting them with positive summer experiences. They offer year-round, sustained, long-term support to children and their entire family, for as many years as they need Wildflower’s help. They make it possible for kids to thrive with renewed spirit, creativity, and talents. Parents benefit, too, with valuable time to themselves—to heal, restore, and rebuild their lives.
