From exploring the Amazon Jungle to kayaking on sacred Lake Titicaca at 12,500’ in the Andes, and to sand boarding and dune buggying in the desert oasis of Huacachina, we experience it all! Of course there is our fascinating visit to the ancient archaeological treasure of Machu Picchu! But above the beauty and history are the friendly Peruvians who greet us warmly and welcome us as we interact with local children and seniors to make this a most meaningful and memorable summer!

TRIP SUMMARY

Peru is one of the most spectacular and geographically diverse countries in the world. Explore the Amazon Jungle, kayak on Lake Titicaca at 12,500' in the Andes, dune buggy in the desert oasis of Huacachina, and visit the ancient archaeological treasure of Machu Picchu! But above the beauty and history, are the friendly Peruvians who greet us warmly and make this such an incredible destination to improve your Spanish. Their curiosity about visitors makes for many conversations. Volunteering with children at an orphanage and with seniors at a home for the elderly further allows us to interact and improve our language skills. You are sure to return home with incredible new friends, an expanded Spanish vocabulary and broadened horizons from all we have experienced together.
