My favorite service project was going to La Carpio because I got to see how people live and see who I was helping out.  It was amazing to see the people's faces when we gave them the bunk beds!  I feel participating on this program has changed me because now I realize how Costa Ricans live and I will be more aware of how lucky I am.

Alaska has been so rewarding in so many different ways. The people I met were all so interesting and compassionate. The counselors were so caring and thoughtful and I felt that the balance of this trip was perfect. I didn’t feel over worked or like we were playing too much. I feel like this has been the most fulfilling use of my summer. The experience has changed me in so many ways. The community service was so eye opening and rewarding and I feel so satisfied with how much I have helped the people of Alaska. I really can’t begin to list all that I’ve gained from this summer experience. I’ve learned so much more about myself, life and people. I’ve had an opportunity to see much more of the world. I have come away from this summer knowing so much more about the world around me. This experience has also opened my eyes to so much more.
